Self-awareness in writing is challenging, especially when writing a novel.
I really feel like a writer, now that WRITE Magazine, the magazine of the Writers’ Union of Canada, published my humorous personal essay on writing called: Writers’ Purgatory: Eradicating Your Pesky Pet Words. The article, which appeared in the Fall 2016 edition, was about my quest to hunt down all my crutch words and purge them from my first novel, The Great Cubicle Escape.
Was the quest successful? Read it and see.
